We’re living longer than ever before in the history of mankind. Most of us enjoy good health, financial security, energy and enthusiasm. Just because we are in our 50’s and 60s, doesn’t mean we’re ready to retire! We may be in a place where we can afford to do something different and new. But we don’t know what it might be and it will take us away from something comfortable into the unknown.

To succeed in this stage you must:

  • Give yourself permission to do something for yourself.
  • Identify the past successes, both business and personal, that brought you joy.
  • Dissect those activities to distinguish between what you love to do and what you can do.
  • Identify the skills and personal attributes that will provide the clues to designing the next phase of your life.
  • Brainstorm, experiment and picture what will bring you pleasure, rewards and fun – not just fill up time.
  • Get rid of "old stuff" that is no longer useful.
  • Identify drivers and values.
  • Strategize options and plans - set near and long term goals.

An in-depth program of personal exploration and goal setting provides the tool box that will be needed in the next phase of your life. See www.act2.info for further details.

Check out the book study group just introduced based on the book "Too Young To Retire" by Marika and Howard Stone. This is a great way to begin your exploration into what the next phase of your life might look like. Find out more at www.act2.info!

“I (can) move forward in my life with expectation – not tribulation – with some control (tools) to work with.”
